Luggage net

  Elise/VX220/R26

that net is the finest invention ever. I had an aluminium record box in there this weekend (about 13 inch h/d/w and weighing about 30 kilos) and it held it down whilst I did the twisties. Superb!

Rob, I bought one of the 172 nets recently for the 1.6 after my wife nicked mine oot o the 172!:eek: the part no / price is as follows;

172 luggage net p/n: 82 00 088 729 @ £13-51 + VAT

However, you may have the same problem as me. My 2003 1.6 didnt have the screw-in hooks that are fitted to the 172 rear lugguage area. The threads / holes are there but no hooks! Picure of hook, spacer and bolt below (part no on hook 77 05 008 033);

Just did a trial fit on the 1.6 and it fitted fine (needs a T40 torque bit). Will be ordering 2 off the above next time at Reno.

Cheers, Neil

so thats what that thing is for

i was looking at roamers at the mids meet, and he hasnt actually got one, but no-one knew what the heck it was all for

Oh my! Telford_mike.......

Thats the exact same thats in my boot! Same car polish and everything! I got mine free at argos!

I never got a net either. I have use 2 bungee straps fitted diagonally from corner to corner. Works well with small & flat items but likely to crush anything bigger.

Had a bit of trouble putting it on though, you have to really stretch it, i let go of it once and it flicked and hit my thumb, ouch!

I loved my luggage net so much that when I sold the 172, the kept that net. Im looking at it right now, in fact......ah, memories......
