brakes, tyres, wheel bearings, wipers, suspension, brake lines, brake hoses, lights all round, cracks/chips on windscreen, ball joints, cv boots, strut top mounts, hand break efficency, seat belts.Think that about covers it other then emissions which I very much doubt you have a gadget to test that yourself

Myne failed on a few thing's the headlight's were aiming too low, the rear number plate light wasn't working and the brake servo vacum pipe had deteriorated all easily sorted though

Mine failed on a broken spring!! Not a cheap fix either!!

just check all the basics, all lights, tyres brakes, winscreen, wipers, washers etc etc.

my Golf just passed with no advisorys, 160k on the clock, lol.
