Mac and Gimp help

  Audi
I have just bought a MacBook and downloaded Gimp photo editing for it.

My problem is that for some reason i can't work out how to take a pic from my iphoto folder and put it onto Gimp for editing!!

I realise that i might be doing something stupid but if anyone knows how to do it then please put me out of my misery. :banghead:

Thanks in advance

Put a folder on your desktop and drag it into it. then open the picture in gimp.

lol how come you can't just open it through gimp?

On PS there is an Ipphoto folder already there where you can just open images straight from iphoto instead of having 2 copys of them on your system (one on iphoto one on your desktop)
