Making a DVD for a friend in iDVD. Got the photos working fine as a slidshow, but need to add MPG2 movie files but can't. how can I convert these to a format which I then can import into iDVD?

Do you have quicktime pro??? PM me if not n i might be able to sort u out!!!!!
Pro allows you to export videos to other formats.

If not you can try iSquint which is a free movie converter and is very good -

Also you may want to look at Perian which is a very good codec/plugin for all types of video formats including mpeg2! -

Hope that helps :)

  A blue one.
I assume iDvd uses the quicktime components for import. MPEG2 is covered by all sorts of licensing so isn't bundled with the OS, it's an add on which is £20 or so.

If you don't feel like paying for it, then some other open source solution (like something mentioned above) will probably allow you to covert to come other format which you can import without problem.
