Magnex back box

  Clio 172 ph1
Hi All,
This is my first thread, so please bear with me.
I've recently bought a 2000 'W' reg Clio 172. (I believe this is the ph1)???
What an awesome car!! (No need to tell you that though).
Anyway, I've also recently bought (yes, from ebay) a Magnex 'back box' in the hope that it'll just bolt on and sound glorious.
I've since discovered that it doesn't!
It looks to be part of a 'cat-back' system. Therefore the ID of the Magnex pipe is far bigger than the OD of the standard exhaust intermediate pipe (the pipe after the cat).
Soooooo, does anyone have any suggestions?
I've spoken to Magnex and they don't just sell the bit of pipework I need, only the full cat-back system. (cheers).
I've had another quick look on ebay and seen exhaust 'reducers' and there's a company called pipewerx that'll make you a reducer if you give them your dimensions. Has anyone used anything like this?
Plus does anyone know the OD of the standard pipe, where it would meet the silencer? As I don't have ramps or any other way of geting under the car to measure it. (Plus its peeing down, cold and dark at the mo).
Any thoughts or help would be, erm, helpful!
Failing that. Does anyone want to buy a Magnex back box for a 172 ph1 that requires the intermediate pipe??
Thanks in advance guys (and gals).
Ian.

I've used a reduser got it welded onto my exhaust pipe and put the back box into that.

Demon Tweeks also sell the reducer pipes.
