Mains and big end torques

Car  '92 172, Lotus Elise
Looking for the torque settings for the mains and big ends, can i just use the F7 values?

also, can i reuse the bolts?

You can re-use the bolts but I'd check them for length as they are stretch bolts. Double check EVERYTHING fella!

that's the plan! ive dummy assembled it to see how it all goes together and it seems fine!

will take it all apart again, clean, oil and torque up!

if they're stretch bolts, whats the allowed length?

i would just fit arp rod bolts while your there

not really just a case of that though, they're torqued differently so you need to line-bore the mains and hone the rods to ensure they're round or you risk oval bearings which is about as much use as a chocolate teapot

also looking for the torque settings for the plate that goes on the pulley end of the crankshaft with E7 bolts - not sure of its technical name :o

well just saying as im used to vauxhall c20let's never had to do anything like that, just a quick counter sink on the rod caps and torque them up job done

you got lucky and got away with it TBH. dont need machining each and every time but certainly need careful measurement for ovality

mmm vauxhall engines are sooo much simpler lol
