Went out with my parents today, not exactly sure where.. somewhere near the East Lancs Railway I think..? :S Anyway, I gotta say, not a big fan of this whole sunshine thing we got going on - great for the tan, not so good for easy photo taking! Rescued a few though:

Hard to judge what they're looking like as I'm only on my laptop, but I hope they're ok?

Yep indeedy, too late for Oulton though which is a shame; can't afford to go tomorrow really. These were all taken with it, but had to run them through Lightroom as I messed up with the settings - first time I've shot in bright sun lol.

Is the water too saturated in the second photo? I was messing about and forgot to change it back.

Thanks. I'm quite happy with it, as it was my first time panning birds today and they're not easy to predict! Also took me quite a while to get used to using a long lens, bit of a contrast to the nifty fifty! I had a look on the internet when I got back, and I think I was probably shooting a bit slow, but I'd rather get good at slow speeds first and then faster speeds should be alright.

Not worth starting a new thread for, but been out again today at the local nature reserve. It's such a photogenic place, but I'm finding it a bit hard to do it justice. Refused to take any shallow DoF shots!

You know me too well lol. This will be it for a while in terms of lenses, need to improve with what I have before I get anything else. Bit confused by the 70-200mm, not sure if it's me or the lens, but something's making a lot of the photos OOF.

Edit: Meh, sneaky edit! Lens is excellent - great sharpness, colour and bokeh. Just as mentioned above really. Probably my fault though.
