Making your own centre caps (Question- not a 'how to')

I have a set of after market alloys on the car and am missing a centre cap, which looks :quiet:

Anyway I thought I'd get one on Ebay but have searched and cant find anything the right size (64mm) so I got to thinking "Hmm. Wonder if I could make something"

So anyone have any ideas how to go about it? my best ideas so far (in order of DING lol)

1 - Scrunch up tinfoil and whack it in there
2 - Get a hold of the old style metal caps for the middle of the disc and leave the alloys bare
3 - find 'something' larger than the hole and glue it on.


So any better ideas anyone? be much appreciated

Contact the alloy company, they should have them.

See if you can find a cardboard postal tube with an internal diameter of 64mm - use the caps.

Good idea, due to cost I'll see what else I/CS can come up with, but failing all else I'll order them here.

Thanks everyone so far! keep em coming, am keen on making my own still, wondering what I could do with fibreglass, I made my own thumb grips a while back

Buy a sheet of cf off eBay I think you canget sample sheets for free sum where then make your own

could be a plan, and then just overlap it and glue do you reckon?

Get a freezer/food bag, place in the hole and then use filler to fill the hole. Once it's set then sand it down and then paint whatever colour you fancy.

You could even add some design to it or add blades or guns that fire out when people overtake you. Maybe you could have a gun that fires other guns? Anyway I digress...

^ reckon thats the win so far, sounds easy, also having guns that shoot guns would be amazing, especially if i could get them to shoot clothes disolving baby oil at the ladies? like gender smart guns?
