I was going to write a little comparison of the 3 Clios at some point, but I'll sumerise it here.
The Phase 1 struggled against both the Cup and Trophy, mostly because it's geared differently and was having to use 5th where the Cup and Trophy never had to leave 4th. As you can see in the video, he was a fair way behind both of us, and it wasn't really down to cornering speeds as the the Ph1 cornered really well on the gaz coilovers and F1s.
The Cup and Trophy were quick at different parts of the circuit, which is pretty much what I expected. The Trophy owned the hairpin, sticking it's nose in tight and getting the power down better on the exit, the Cup was quicker through the fast sweeping bends, especially Gerards. As I've often thought, the Trophy feels a bit edgy on that sort of corner, where the Cup and my old 182 (with Cup packs) felt more playful on the limit. I had no worries letting the back end hang out in the past, but I'm less comfortable doing so in the Trophy. Plus Miles was being fearless that day. lol
The Trophy setup seems to be best suited to tight twisty circuits where getting into the apex is the most important thing, it's stiffer setup feels less suited to fast flowing tracks, in my opinion anyway.

Nice vid Lee, good weather...seemed like you had lots of space to work too.
Not sure what was done to it, but it was on full slicks which allowed it to brake later and corner a lot faster. When I went out as a passenger it was runnning anywhere between 10-20mph faster than the Clio depending where it was on the track. Power wise it didn't have the same kick as some standard Imprezas I've driven.yellow182jon said:

As Lee says the Trophy was definitely quicker through the hairpin, but it felt like I could gain slightly on the longer bends.
My Cup's still not fixed, but hopefully will be in time for Donny!! Lee you sure I can't tempt you

I am tempted, as I loved Donny. Plus that should just about get the brakes ready for replacement when it goes in for it's 12k service soon.
I'll have to wait and see how much money I burn at the weekend.

I was the passenger in the evo, it was the alst run of the day and after we passed Lee, it was awesome the performance of the thing

Not sure tbh need to build my confidence first and understand why things are done in certain ways etc ..
