I had Power Sterring on mine so dont mind that to much. A smaller sterring wheel helps loads to.

My mates is diablo red too, lowered, stainless exahust, filter, chipped etc, very simerler performance on the road.

chip must help him then cause my mates is stainless and decat and was easily pulling on him, he can drive too lol.

he was 2 up v's me being alone I guess.

GTI-6 is on the list though for when I chop the 182 for something cheaper, fooking mortgages...

lol cool, wish i still had my pug but I had both cars for a month or so and never used the pug at all in that time so it had to go.

If a good 205 or 309 GTi was offerd me today I would find it hard to say no

mine was immaculate inside but the paint was a mess, would have taken a bit of money to get it back to mint. was prepared to do it as well.

There's a c reg 1.6 with 58k miles advertised in the Scottish Autotrader for £2250, fook that! I could have had mine mint for £2000 and it was a J plate non cat 1.6

Havent driven a 1.9 yet

Mine was quite clean, no way mint, but it was used and abused lol, only went as it was costing money, valve stem selas, water hoses etc, and was offered silly money to sell. Driven and low both the 1.6 and 1.9 but would have to be a 1.9 for when I am feeling lazy. Much prefered my 309 GTi, ugly yes, point to point what a tool, and forgiving to lol. Everyone should drive them at least once!
