Mark 1 172 rear bumper

Has anyone with a mark 1 172 got 4 ripples in the back bumper.My one has,i,ve had it from new and I think its getting worse.I have seen others with a similar problem.

where exactly would these ripples be on the bumper?

Before I brought my 172 (now sold) I had seen about 3 with this problem as soon as this caught my attention I just walked away as it looked like it had been involved in a RTA. 2 had overspray around the window seals!

unless your car was brought from new has it been involved in an RTA???!!!

I have seen this before on one i was following ( siver ) - only obvios when the sun catches it just so.

i have noticed mine from a distance looks like that a bit too only in certain lights, but upon close inspection there is fa wrong!!

Think that as is a thin bumper and there is a slight amount of distortion where it mounts, the silver paint greatly exaggerates this small flaw. Mine has never been bumped either - known it from new. I think is just aniother little clio flaw - but hey, you gotta love em!!

Yeah ... mine is fine ... but Ive seen 2 x other early silver 172s with rippling bumpers.
