matched manifolds and ptfe gasket....on!

well today was spent fitting my matched manifolds (thanks to angelworks) and PTFE gasket (thanks to hill power racing).

initial impression is the car now pulls smoother to the red line. very impressed with the manifolds although a one point I did think that mine were already done.
as for the reduction in heat from the PTFE gasket I think maybe becuase the manifolds now allows more air through the gasket has simply balanced out the heat that may have been about if a standard gasket was used.

all in all so far very happy.

cheers angelworks and hill power racing:D

After listening to all the b****cks on here, I got one of these BenR WONDER INLETS. Must say I did'nt notice a ha'purth of difference. Never mind though, the best part of buying go faster goodies is the hopeful, against the odds, and against your better judgement, anticipation of a performance gain.

hi mate just to confirm I am not part of hill power engineering but glad you are happy all the same... good results and feedback from these gaskets to date. excellent news!

LOL, its never gonna be a major improvement as it really depends on how bad yours was in the first place. tbh the one that was already on mine was pretty good on the plenum and top part of the lower manifold...however there was a noticeable difference on the bottom of the lower inlet.
only thing really on mine I have noticed in the brief test drive I did afterwards was its smooth out the 'kick' to the point its just a smooth accelaration curve. big test will be once its on a rolling road.

and tbh at £117.50 inc VAT I can't complain:D

  RS RIP
maybe he did'nt read enough of the b****cks on here and he already had the better "RS" inlet manifold with which gains to be had with matching are minimal ?

As far as I can remember, when you posted your before and after graphs I pointed out there was a corresponding 5 or 6 bhp and lb/ft gain midrange even though there was a 1 bhp peak gain, but you didnt seem too bothered about it.

And I also offered you your money back, but again you didnt seem too interested. I guess you just like to have something to dangle above my head.

I wouldn't worry about people like that mate, I'd be well happy with those gains for the price. Just counting up the pennies and I'll hopefully be in a position to order one from you soon! What would the damage to my bank balance be for the cambelt change be with you by the way? Really want to go to somewhere that isn't going to use tippex to line up the cams... PM if you prefer.
