MAX DSL problems

My bro's Just been connected to max dsl with zen internet.....But he only seems to download at 512 speeds but uploads at 5meg sort of speeds

Hes done loads of speed tests and his results are

126Kbps down
351Kbps Up

15.6 / 42.9 KB/sec

Hes contacted them and theyve said its nothing wrong with his line at all

Do you think it could be somthing to do with the way his routers setup?

Hes got a speedtouch 536 router/modem which he got when he joined zen......When he joined he was told he could get 5meg and his neighbour as 6meg down

Any ideas guys at to what could be the problem?

adsl max fluctuates in speed alot in the 1st 10 days till it finds a suitable/stable speed for your line, give it 10 days then try some speed tests

He says he cant seem to find a way to tell with his modem.....Does anyone have the same a speedtouch 536 and know where to look


Its totally different to my netgear which is a lot easier to configure
