max speed in each gear

just wondered what sort of max speed in each gear u are getting? would be interresting to compare the smaller engines to the 2 litre lump. Just done this in my 1.2 8v (dont laff) and i got....



1st - 5500rpm - 25mph

2nd - 5500rpm - 50mph

3rd - 5500 - 70mph

thats all ive tested so far.

in my phase 2 1.2 8v i got

1st - 30mph

2nd - 58mph

3rd - 78mph

4th - 95mph

all at about 5600/5700rpm

i did it to max rpm not the best rpm to change tho

4th - 110

5th - never going to get there

these are all on the limiter

4th - 125mph limiter

5th - 142mph aprox 6600rpm

In the phase 3 1.2 8v i have been up to 57mph in 2nd, i dont have a counter but i was on the limiter

5th - 142mph aprox 6600rpm << didnt think the 172 was that fast? thought it was 137mph or is that the speedo error coming into play by 5mph?

iv posted before 127-128 steep hill 15s ik zorst i did hit it on the clock but obv not gps i do have gps now thu and as i was hitting this speed my enginemanagment light came on i got flung for the windscreen and had to get towed home and car went in 2 renault for 2 days lol but the hill im talking about it must be the way the location cause everytime i hit it it always seems if the winds away from u and i just wants to go been down it at 120 with ma 17s on.was racing a 306 gti at the time he was faster till i hit the hill then i flew by then when i broke down he was like what engine is that im like 1.2 16v he was like no way
