Maxi Clio bonnet

  BMW 320d Sport

Anyone got any clues about this? Im building a Maxi bonnet for my 16v, but cant find anyone who makes a repro of the extra vent the Maxi had - down by the nearside just above where the airbox is. Anyone got a detailed picture of it?

I want one! I dont fancy butchering my bonnet though. If anyones got a 16V bonnet going cheap I might have one made up. Might get some cold air to the filter.
Just out of interest, has anyone ever took out their grille? It looks good without it. I dont wanna leave it off though or I might damage something. I took it off to colour code it. I was tempted to leave it off and maybe just mesh in front of the radiator. What you think? Also where is the best place to run cold air feeds from?

Im fitting a 2002 spec 172 bumper to a Mk1 H plate, and that does look good. The measurement between the front edge of the wheel arch and the rear edge of the headlight is identical on both!!

best place for cold air feed is either down to fog light or straight down and turn it under the sub frame facing foward.

Can;t get the link Dazman. But Wongy you know I had to change my plans so its just the stainless mesh for the time being.

Paul - when I did my first grille mod I had it out for a few days while I was forming the mesh around it (a phase 1 grille is a nice flat frame for mesh) and it looked mean. The only problem was you can see the bonnet hinges.
