I made one for my old megane, fitted really well and even managed to mount an amp underneath perspex in the middle of it because of the huge hole created by the spare wheel well. Can't do that in a 182 thou, but will post some pics up asap anyway.

I did mine at the weekend.

Built 2 false floors, mouted the amp on the bottom one, cut a hole for it, and put the second floor on top. Knocked up a couple of beams the same height as the amp.

All the wires are hidden under the top floor and the amp is inset into the floor.

Job done :D

Any pics Xell ?

I'm planning on making a false floor for my clio and sinking the sub (arse-out) into the spare wheel well :)

Remove the capret from the boot, lay it on the MDF as your template, mark round it with a pencil, then work away with a jigsaw.. Job done..

To do anything more than that, its just a matter of using your imagination, the way most boot builds come into shape..

slow_assed_clio - This doesn't work mate, I tried this to begin with then quickly realised MDF doesn't flex like boot floor carpetting :D

The rear struts get in the way!!

cut round them then. Its well easy, heres my old install:

build a box under make sure teh supports are higehr than your amps:

Then make a template using boot carpet, and card board, then cut out with a jigsaw. Take your time with your template.

then carpet, job done:

As I already said, just use the carpet as a template over a sheet of MDF.. dont think pictorial guidesare needed for that bit..

Drawa around the template (boot mat) with a large marker, or pencil, then cut the shape put with a jigsaw..

As someone stated, this will not fit directly into place which is kinda obvious anyway, so ya might have to run the jigsaw down the middle of it, leaving it in 2 parts, which shoud be easy enough to lay into the boot without too much hassle..

Not Astro Physics :D
