Just a question when ravaging a Clio Campus for spares today. Having removed the front seats, the little castor 'risers' were underneath - but are they necessary?

I'd like the idea of dropping my seats slightly if possible, but am acutely aware that there might be more exposure to the elements outside without them in place.

Any suggestions on what to do in lowering the seats with the least amount of fuss?
