Megane Scenic Fan Prob

My Dad's just found that his 56 plate Megane Scenic aircon fan has stopped working. He has various fuses and checked to see if anything is stuck in it to no success? I know its not a Clio, but just wondered if anyone has any ideas before we take it down to Mr Renault.

Do you mean air con pump or fan?
The heater fan on the dsah or the aircon pump.

if its the heater fan... and it has aircon. it is quite probable that its a resister pack...

it will be the heater resister that has failed, they are extemely common for it, the the wiring cant handle the power going through it and in turn burns out the connector and the resistor, causing it not to work at all, or sometime just on one speed. There is a modified wiring loom which is fitted to it aswell to ensure it doesn't happen again.

But your looking around 3hours to do the job + parts.

If not, Renault will contribute as its literally only a month out!!

As above. Its meant to be dash out to do it aswell but it can be done without.
