Megs NXT Tech Wax. Any good?

I was having a clear out today and came across a bottle of Megs NXT TECH Wax and Stage 2 polish that have never been used.

I never used it as i'm happy with my SRP,EGP and Coll 476 combo

How good is this Wax and polish ?

And how durable is it ?

As i was gonna give them to my mate

And i was wandering how often he'd have to top them up.

The downside to the NXT is it contains cleaners which means it strips anything below it and cannot be layered. Provides decent looks, the original version was not that easy to use or very durable - 30 days or so protection.

The stage 2 again is not the easiest product to apply and remove and despite the name is more of a glaze than a proper polish, it is the consumer equivalent of things there #7 show car glaze.

No real benefit to using it under NXT as it will just remove it.

Can you wax on top of the megs tech wax with say P21s ?

Yeah it is fine to add a product over it, NXT with P21s was a well used combo for me a few years back.

And i'll give him a bit of my Collinittes 476 to put over the top of that

What would i be able to do with the polish if i kept it for myself ?

Reformulated version - can't comment as I have never bothered with it.

I used to use it over SRP or the Megs DC1.

The DC2 won't fit into the SRP, EGP and 476 routine

You would have to ditch the EGP and use the 476 straight over it.

He also asked if it was too cold at this time of year to apply the NXT Tech Wax and 476 to his car in his garage as its in there the now spotlessly clean and just been washed the end of last week (its about 0 to 3 degress up here at the moment with sleet/snow showers)

Tell him to do a panel and see how easily it goes on and off. I tend not to even try things in the cold.

476 should give a couple of months.

I don't think it'd dry/haze up enough to wipe off without streaking but hey we'll give it a go

Is that a Qd ?

It is more of a spray wax than a QD so I understand, not one I have used.
