on my first track day I was sat in the briefing next to an old boy who was going on track in one of those. Although he had put a 1.8 engine in his.

  Mk5 Golf GTI :)
I came accross it whilst looking for peugeot 107's, as you do. I fooking hated them when i was 17/18 but a few years on and i think they are pretty cool.

Love the GTi version's, try and find a mint OE one, never mind one that needs TLC, rare now, my old man used to have a few back in the late 90's, early noughties when you could pick them up for £500'ish in the back off the loot paper lol. Saw a few 130's on the clock on the private runways to ;)

27k beauty. nice find, get it as a track car. drain the suspension fluid.

Or do it properly and machine the rods down ;)

I loved my metro/111. That only cost me £250 from a dealer in Leeds with 47k on the clock. It was absolutely immaculate too apart from the rear rusty arches which are a common fault, but the paintwork was ridiculous.

Was my first engine conversion too! The 1.4 k-series engine was awesome in it, just wish I'd gone VVC as i'd probably still have it.

Really doesn't suit white!

Are they hard to come by Dan?

Shame they're made of tin foil, I shunted a Volvo at the lights in mine at no more than 5mph, he had one small scratch on his bumper which he went ballistic about, I had two smashed headlights and and bent bonnet, i'd hate to think what would happen if you had a real accident in one, they'd probably have to scrape you out with a spatula and a sponge.

Non rusty ones that have been done properly are rarer than hens teeth mate.

Tbh, I'd settle for a late MPi GTI if a tidy enough one came up.

lmao.

My first car was a 114 Sli as it happens, I went into the back of a woman in a Mk2 Clio at what was probably 10mph tops. She must have not had her brake on because she let the car go forward into a 182 infront of her.

Anyway, her car had scratched paint. Mine smashed the front bumper, bent the bonnet and a hose split on the radiator. Maybe the chassis gets a bit stronger after the bonnet... Wouldn't like to test it though.

Looks terrible. Should be crushed. Don't care how 'exclusive' it is I wouldn't want to be the owner of that if it was 10p tbh.
