Is it worth getting over 2000? Are there any major changes to warrant the change?

All depends on what level of usage you have with Office. If you just do the basic document/spreadsheet type of thing, then it isn't worth it. However, Outlook 2003 is open on my PC throughout the day and the differences in this version compared to 2000 or XP are quite significant.
