Middle box, not sure what to do...

fitted a ktec stealth backbox the other day and the fitting is a little bigger that that of the standard middle box. i thought i'd have the whole center secrion removed and get a stainless steel pipe put in its place so i took the car to a garage which mainly fits exhausts. they said it might be cheaper if i could get a middlebox myself, but the only one i found was made by supersprint and cost £200. the garage were gonna charge me about £80 to cut out most of the center section and replace it with a mild steel pipe. i told them i'd think about it as i'm just gonna look for another middle box or straight through pipe. anyone know anywhere i can get one from or is it just gonna be better if i get them to do the job...?

take your backbox to somewhere like powerflow. they should be able to make a centre section in stainless to enable you to fit your backbox, or even supply you with a relevant reducer if that idea could work.

alternatively you could try and sell the backbox on ebay, and have a complete custom done cat-back stealth system for around 280.

its not in SS but a normal steel st8-thru mid section costs £15 new, you could always pollish it if you wanted, cant see the point tho, no one looks under the car.

for the sake of £15 i think you could take the risk lol. also its not a backbox, its just a pipe, it would last at least 4 years...
