Miles left in tank not working.

Anyone have a solution? its ph1 172 just get a lot of lines flashing tried resetting it and still no joy. Cheers.

Is it nearly empty?

As standard, once you get below 40 miles or so left, you'll just see '----'.

No its like this all the time no matter what fuel is in it.

I know it sounds really silly but when was last time you reset the trip computer?

Try putting the dash into diagnostic mode then hit the trip reset button - this resets the unit itself.

I've done this when not recognising fuel i've just bought.

Diagnostic mode - ignition off, hold ADAC button (end of stalk) then turn on ignition.

Tried all the resetting,diagnostics etc still has fixed it.

so does it tell you how much fuel is left and how many miles left in tank still?
