yesterday we found out a friend is working as the security guard at a local miltary airfield so...u know what happened next.
The airfield is not in use, so its empty, perfectly straight and loooooong

tnx...it's amazing how the sound echoes and you can hear the exhaust a mile away (literaly) . Sounds great when engine-braking ..but u can't hear everyting on damn you-tube.

what was the topspeed you clocked then ?

220 kmh / 136 mph according to the speedo..almost hitting the limiter in sixth.According to the 'books' thats max speed

It's quite fast up to 190 kmh and then really strugles at the end.
oh, and i don't have the revised gearbox that never models have so maybe they can go a tad quicker

as much as we clio owners says 'straight line speed is not important' , I must admit It felt good today
Maybe cause my car is lowered/stiff and I really felt I was going faster then 130ish mph
