Minor scratches on paintwork

Hi People!
This is my first posting. I've recently bought a 04 182. When buying I noticed there are areas on the paintwork where someone has gone nuts scrubbing at a mark and left some scratches to the top coat. They are fairly localised, and not through the paint. Now I need to get the car into pristine condition.

What is the best way to repair this?

It will depend on how deep the scratches are as it may prove difficult by hand
If they are not to bad then you can get a quality hand polish and then some sealant and wax to bring the paint back to life.
If they are bad enough you may need someone with a pc machine to get them out and if thats the route you want to go down then send me a pm and i can get someone local to you to have a look
