Looks like the conversion has been done well. I'd pay about £4,500 for it as I have a soft spot for Hondas.

The engine and gearbox alone will of cost 2.5 - 3k

Let alone the labour to fit you wont get change out of 5k for the conversion alone.

Personally I like it alot and a mate has one (si_vti on civiclife.net) and its a proper bit of kit but I can't justify £6k on one myself, as nice as it is, its not £6k IMO

A decent 20VT mk2 can be had for circa £5k. IMO a better looking, better built car with a huge following to boot. The Civic is recognised (as already mentioned in this thread) as "A 16yr old Civic", people don't appreciate it as much as the Golf so thats probably why we're struggling to see the value in this particular K20 EG

no

It dont drop straight in, the wiring is a nightmare and you have to sort out the gearlinkages as civic type r is on the dash.

It aint just that its the cost of the parts K20A lumps fetch big money
