Mintex 1144 or Feredo DS Performance + Brake Disc Question

  Not a 320d
Which ones would you prefer?

I have a choice between these 2 pads.

And Mintex 1144

While im at it. I was going for Brembo Standard Discs, but ive found a bigger selection here.

Any of those any good? This is for a 1.6 Clio GT, so basically a 1.6 16v MK3 clio.

PS, i have just covered 11,000 miles, and i have destroyed both my discs and Pads, ill get a pic when i get some new ones next week.

only ones id get out of that list would be the tarox.
£177 is alot though, nearly twice the price of standard brembos, they will stand up to a fair bit of abuse though.
have you asked brembo if they can do you some high carbons??

Wouldnt have thought they would produce HC's just for one person but ill ask.

DS2500, then 1144's, then Ds perf.

Brembo HC's.

Yeah id love DS2500's but i cannot have them on a 1.6.

Right i have emailed them. Ill be amazed if i get a reply. Look like Mintex 1144's and Brembo Std, or those g88 Tarox things are on the cards ill have to wait and see if funds permit. Please add your input, which would you have?

if your just going for a "fast road" pad standard brembos should be fine.
i woulld spend the change on some good fluid and braided lines.....

Had Brembo high carbon discs fitted with hell brake lines, castrol super dot 4 fluid and mintex m1444 pads they do squeel a fair bit at low speeds with gentle braking not sure if this will stop as they bed in..?

but the way they stop is a huge improvement over the standard set up this is just for fast road and for the money im well impressed!

This is not what i was hoping for lol. I can cope with a bit of squeeling but if it gets on my tits ill replace them again. I asked if they could manufacture a set up for me.

thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately we come back to you with a negative feedback concerning a spot HC brake disc production.

Brembo aftermarket disc for the Renault Clio MK3 ( 09.9078.10) are OE equivalent; that means that the original brake disc is not an high carbon cast iron disc.
An HC brake disc guarantees a better cooling and less risk of noises compared to normal cast iron thanks to a better damping factor.

That is different from a carbon carbon disc that is 100% carbon and is for competition application only.

Thank you for choosing Brembo
Best Regards
