Mirror control burnt out

has anybody halls this happen to there mirror adjuster? Totally melted and burnt out.

Also any ideas what may have caused this?

chances are caused by dihydrogen monoxide, be careful as immersion in this can kill!!! short term exposure symptoms are wrinkly white finger tips. is odorless and tasteless so be careful around it.

There was a recall on the first facelift scenic years ago for mirror controls melting.

Yes, my car had been sitting idle for days, alarm went off and the door card was on fire, started with the switch!

So it's the switch then so if replace it and the connector I should be fine?
