Mis-fire & engine light under high load

Hi guys,

Just a quick one...

Engine light came on last week, had it plugged in and it showed ignition coil A & B were to fault..

Changed coil pack and all was good until last night, drive nicely and it's ok.. Put your toe down then you can hear it running on 3, engine light comes on, then flashes then cuts out!! Can coast down the road and turn engine off and start again then it's fine until you boot it.

Anyone else had this problem??

And before anyone suggests not to boot it..... I know...lol.

I was thinking the leads and plugs as it goes like stink upto 70mph () then randomly goes down to three cylinders..

Would an injector show a code on diagnostic?

on clip yeah but it would have to do it while it was plugged in i belive. i had same fault and turned out to be an injector.

Hmm...

Will have to take it to my mate then, would have thought the ecu would store the code until cleared?

chances are it's an injector, if you can't get it plugged in measure the resistance on them.

Sounds more injector related. Similar problem to me. Try doing 30mph in 4th and stick your foot to the floor. That's when mine would miss.
