Ph1 172.
Story goes. Changed plugs and leads recently - Obviously the correct ngk's, but used a set of non genuine leads.
Then 2 weeks later, low & lumpy idle. Hmm i thought, i didnt like the look of the non genuine leads - So pitch black one night, open bonnet - sure enough can see little arcs all under the inlet.
Change leads for some nice 8mm wound performance leads from a local rotating electrics place. They went on nice and feel good quality and checked the crimping on the ends, all seem a-ok. Shame as i had almost convinced myself that the leads were at fault.
However i STILL have this problem... Lumpy, holding revs up you can feel them randomly dropping, this morning smelt eggy out the back - hasnt done that before. It just doesnt run 'smooth'. No excessive running problems, but its definatly not as it should be.
I took a short video last night of my idle when warm - is this right?
Any tests i can do?
Thankyou!
