not been able to drive my 182 since friday coz ran out of tax and have lost ins docs, so am waiting for new ones from ins company, hopefully will come today. but i hate it being sat there when i have to leave it

Tax it online. You don't need any docs to hand that way.

Don't you just automatically get fined these days if you don't buy a new tax disc or declare SORN before your tax expires?

Do it online, they do check you have insurance but they do it from a computer database so obviously you dont need to show them a certificate
