missing a nut i think ?

my mk1 valver is missing a nut at the front of the engine, what is it ?

im a little worried at the mo so any help will be great

possibly. no harmm in getting it all checked out though.. or it could turn expensive

I don't thinks thats used on your vehicle, and it is the gearbox by the way
