MK1 1.8 16v Inlet manifold?

Has anyone ever tried to take their inlet mainifold off their valver before to polish it? If so has anyone got any pictures and how easy was it to do? Any ideas how you would take the texture out of it too?

ok mate i was looking at getting one powdercoated and fitting it so found out everything...to get it off you need to drain the engine coolant and then take the bonnet and radiator off/out..this in turn should give you access to the bolts needed to remove the inlet..

as for polishing it..it will take quite a while i think..oh and ache hands..lol
