MK1 1.8 8v-16v conversion

Hello all, dose anyone know where i can get a cheap speedo cable from. I don't really want to speed £100+ on one from Renault if i can help it at all. If anyone can help me in my quest id be very happy, cheers

it may be worth buying a new one you know, they can sometimes cause issues

any local motor factors should be able to do them mate think my mate paid about £40 for his

I thought that, but it turns out where i live they don't. I went to one of the places near me and the one they had listed for the engine didn't have the connector on the end. ( im not sure what that bit dose :S ) but to be on the safe side i sent it back. When i rang Renault they wanted £103 pound for it. where as the other one i brought was only like £12. I did wounder why there was such a big difference in price. I understand that Renault are pricey. So in the end i thought id ask around to see if anyone had one spare
