I would like to replace the head unit in my mk1 172. is there anyway I can get the dash display to still work with a new head unit? Which head units can still operate my standard 6 disc system?

The standard 6 disc changer is actually made by Alpine, however im pretty sure it has a weird fitment on it and to my knowledge you cannot get this will work with the Alpine head units. You couldnt when I looked into anyway.

Most head units will work with the dash display but you will need to buy the right wiring looms from somewhere like http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/U color=#0000ffcar audio direct/U.
