Mk1 Clio Handbrake - Button! Grr

I went and bought a new handbrake handle for my mk1 95 clio, only prob is its round and the original 1 is square. It never came with a button tho, does anyone know where i would be able to get a round button from?

It was a RaceX one with a gaitor. I bought it off ebay, never occurred to me lol! Could i jus cut a bit off my button so i will fit in the end of the new handle?

I jus had another idea, if i get a bit of aluminium i could turn it on a lathe into a sort of shape that could be used as a button? what do you think of that idea?

I already have access to a lathe and could swipe a bit of aluminum bar that would be perfect size wise
