are these any good been thinking of getting one as they all seem to be well priced and alot less tired/trashed examples going about than 16v if anyone can help please!

same basic lump as the volvo 1.7 turbos iirc. Meant to be good little cars and also iv read a few times that there is very little in it 0-60 between a 16v, due to loads of torque.

Cracking little motors for the money, do tend to run out of a bit of puff as standard around the 6k mark, I am sure a decat and healthy breather would sort that tho

as you said, better examples........... and you could always hybrid one if you wanted

these cars are extremely fun and you will not stop smiling when you are behind the wheel. they're not the 16v, but they are just as fun IMO
