Hey folks, I might getting my hands on my mums old clio N reg 1.4rt, i've always had fun driving it and seeing as shes wants rid soon i was wondering what can i do to tune this puppy up as a long term project? can i convert it to valver/williams spec by changing the wings/subbies and suspension over? i know its cheaper to buy one but thisll be a long term project and weve had this car virtually since new, and other then the crap brakes (can i change the servos etc for items off a valver or newer?) rusty rear arches and the airbag playing up its a cracker. Advice? thanks lads.

You cna chnage the brake pads disk and calipers for valver/Williams/Most Mk2 phase 2 and 1.6 16V Mk2 phase 1 brakes as there the better ones.

Forget changing servos.

You can chnage the wings etc over as for suspension either get the valver engine fitted and then fit the Valver type suspension or get some suspenson for the 1.4 don't fit the wrong suspension to the car.

so the servos and cylinders are the same? this clio has always had crap brakes, foot needs to be through the floor to lock it up.

Clyinder are I'd expect servo's are.

Bleed the brakes that will sort the problem out otherwise check the pads condition.

can only assume the brakes need bleeding or the discs n pads werent bedded in too well. thanks for the advice buddy, will look at this next time on the car when i get chance :thumb:
