not done much with this yet, but realised that CSF is approaching fast and this is probably the car closest to being fixed so need to get a move on to take it!!

Had a small leak from the thermostat housing that i couldn't see for the airbox so finally found it, replaced it and awaiting more coolant!

downpipe flexi is burst so I've ordered a cheapo pattern part cat to fit for £65 (LOL!) and ill fix the genuine one at a later date.

list to do before CSF:
fit cat
track rods and rod ends
geometry
fit rear disc conversion (MOT first and deal with handbrake cables later. second LOL!)
bleed brakes and desolder ABS light from dash - its been removed (another LOL)
refurb wheels and get new tyres
AND LASTLY, FIT BANGING SOUND SYSTEM.

Also still flying about in the 1.2 16v Sport - £300 well spent!

Got some replacement centre caps for the wheels, they will be going for a refurb in gold, a throwback to Ali G's 5GTT which had the same wheels 😂

Exhaust blow is all sorted now and she's running sweet!

Anyone know a solution for getting the ABS, STOP and SERV lights off as it's throwing a fit because it doesn't have ABS. I literally just unplugged the abs loom from the engine loom as it was on a multi plug!, It runs the 1.2 brake setup in terms of brake lines but with the RSI brakes and master cyl. I've not touched the interior loom or UCH or what ever the ph1 has so it must be the ECU I assume? Can I configure anything in clip? (I don't have it but can get it)

Might be able to lose abs via multiplex with clip. Give it a shot , not 100% sure on how ph1 works as had a right carry on with connecting to a ph1 v6 last week.

Lovely job Sir! I'm very much into projects like this, love how cheap the parts are. Will look great on gold wheels - awaiting pics (y)

Cleaned up the RSI seats, it's a shame one has a massive rocky burn in it!!! I suppose it ads to the character of the car...

I was going to keep the original povo spec seats in it but i think the RSI seats might finish it off nicely? thoughts?

a recommendation from the detailing section i tried some C4 on the trim...

Abs light and stop light were on due to the car not having abs where the donor car did, solved...

Clock/radio display hasn't worked since I got it, swapped it from the donor car while I was in there, success! Replaced the bulbs while I was there

Fitted the exhaust, fits like s**t, sounds good. It's removed for now until I have more time to modify it. It's as if the car it was designed for has a shorter cat as it's about 15cm too long at every point, hangers etc are all too far back.

I'll modify it so it sits properly at some point and re fit.

Dropped off at the wheel specialist for it's wheel refurb tomorrow!

It was badly needing a wheel alignment so took it to Pro-Grip as usual and let John do his thing, all good, no issues, was like a new car afterwards.

Having done about 4 miles in it since first start of the engine, I took it for an MOT, to find out it was the fussy MOT tester testing it.... I was sweating buckets knowing I was due to leave for a 650 mile round trip to Wales in an hour.

Clean pass without an advisory, he was extremely impressed with it and said most 3 year old cars are drastically worse 😂

Home for a quick wash, @aldo_87 arrived at mine and off we headed to CSF
1000024022.jpg

What can I say... It was flawless, didn't skip a beat, done around 45mpg, was comfy, reasonably quiet and actually quite refined 😂🤭

On the Welsh back roads back and forward to the hotel it was a blast! It's got a brilliant meaty torque band especially between 3-4.5k, massively helped with the fact it's probably just a tad over 900kg, sounds like an f4r on full throttle and happily revs strong out to 6500rpm!

Didn't really take any pics of it all weekend as we were too busy hammering on with the driving then mingling at CSF by which point it was dirty due to the weather on the way down.

On the way home we took a detour via the autobahn where she happily had a quick squirt upto 125mph before Aldo said, that's quite enough 🤭

I know a decent fabric repairer, only in Lenzie too if you wanted that bomber hole sorted out in the seat?

Cars looking excellent, gandered at it as CSF and its looking cracking.

The 6x9s really set it off. Hope you had N-Trance and Alex K banging on the way down and up.

Oh that might be a shout as it's huge!! It's probably getting garaged until next year now as I've just been pissing money at the cars the last few months and I need a few months to calm!

We had the tunes banging the full way down and back up again!!

I've been making a conscious effort to get it out and use it on my days off and really been enjoying it!

Took it a blast today with Mini Me as we had seen the Emirates a380 flying over head a few times on its way into Glasgow so we went to try and find a high vantage point! Although we have found a better one for next time!!
