Mk2 Ph1 bump strips removal...

Stupid things.

Right, everyone says "just slide off" and I have removed them before, but these things won't budge now!

Any 'tricks' anyone's got for getting them off? Need to give them a proper clean.

Just pull really hard along the car

Brute force and perceverance. First time you get em off is the hardest, after that its like slicks on ice.

You'd think so, but they're harder this time than they were before!

well in side the door frame is a circular black cap, take that off and unscrew the star bit with a sutiable size allen key,

not sure if u've already done this, but i had to take mine to my local renault and get them to tell me it. they didnt charge mind

None of my door frams had the star bits... and neither did a mates car. They just slid off.
