MK2 RSI?

Get one, you won't be dissapointed.
They've got the sport lights at the front, electric sunroof / windows, air con, alloy bonnet, some seem to have leather headrests. The plastic trim around the sterio on the dash / window swiches is different to some PH1's aswell, I think, and the seat are half leather.
There is not a huge amount different to a 1.6 16v really, they are nice cars and you don't see many RSi's about.
They go well and feel pretty solid on the road (like a bigger car), I think your valver would be quicker but that being said the rsi is not a slouch.
My rsi is only 300cc more than my gf's car but you can feel a difference in power, especially on hills where the RSi is great. It's the only hatch that I've had that will go as quick up hills as down them.
In terms of handeling, it will probably feel more soft around the edges than your valver.
Mine is so quiet you can't even hear it tick over. If you do alot of motorway miles it'll be relaxing to drive, it will do 40-50mpg all day.

Ahh keep forgetting teh RSI's have the wierd wheels. New wheels and a good drop will look spot on.
Viper and exhaust will see 3 bhp i would think?
I had a K4J which is the 1.4 16v (basically same engine.) Book is 98 bhp and I had mine rolling roaded at 105 with filter de-cat and exhaust.

RSi has a better interior because the 172 wear out very quick & RSi doesn't.

This ones mine, a good idea what they look like standard, the floor mats are the only addition I've made!
Still got the wee 14" rims and ride height. She's done over 84k miles aswell (not bad for 84 yeeaaah)
Giles' car would be worth veiwing, it looks good in the photo's and you know it's history a bit more than one bought from a random garage.

Having seen this car in the metal I can vouch for its condition, absolute minter, its already got the F1's on it so thats one less thing to do, just needs ph2 rear lights and its sorted. Price is now bargain basement.
