MK3 Exterior handles

i am looking to replace the handles on my car, Just a change of colour. I am aware that there are different types of handles Ie. if you have keyless entry.
Could somebody tell me what to look out for to make sure i get the right ones?

Like does 3 or 5 door make a difference?
i don't have keyless entry but have a black square behind the handle, what is this for?

Black square IIRC is something to do with keyless entry, I believe handles are all the same so just make sure you don't get one with a keyhole for the drivers door for example...
