Mk3 springs

I was thinking about lowering my mk3 by either 40mm or 45mm and have came across these springs. http://www.stxstyling.co.uk/StxStyling/Cars/showit.php?pnum=6902

Was just wondering if these springs were any good and how much will they effect the drive?
