Mobile Phone Insurance...

Has anyone ever claimed on this, think my insurance is from phones4you. Was trying to help my mate with his car stereo and he dropped my phone now got a dirty scratch right down the screen, its a d500.
Would it have to be sent off and all that?as im paying for the insurance i might aswell try and get something out of them!
plus my excess is only £25 what do you reckon?

I tried claming off them once had no success what so ever so i canceled it and brought the networks insurance, orange care, had my phone replaced with them for £5 iirc

think im paying £7 a month witch seems a waste of money, might try and ring them tomo see what they say about it, or might try and get a new contract as the one im on is shite,paying £35 for 200 anymins and 100 txt, cr@p isnt it?thats 02

What tarrif is that? when i canceled mine they just harped on about how mobile phones are stole round christmas etc etc. lasted about 5 minutes lol. i ony got there insurance as they told me it was free and it wasnt lol

couldnt you just get a new cover and fitting tools off ebay? probably cost less than your excess!

think its 02 200 but its pants i might just get a new contract and pay off this one and go with 02online as im paying too much sometimes £50+ and i hardly use it!!

lol, you could get a new cover off ebay or something and a t6 torx screwdriver i think and just change them over

point me in the right direction!!i presume the actual lcd screen is covered by a plastic cover so would this mean the screen isnt actually damaged or is it a whole unit??

if its just a scratch on the phone cover then it can be replaced, but if the actual screen is damaged it might not be repairable, just search on ebay for d500 cover/housing and you will find one

im on orange and theyve replaced lost and broken phones 5 times for me!!! Im sure you will be covered if its just damaged!

vinnyc19, just had a look on ebay, easy to buy but looks so hard to install u have to take the whole phone apart i think i might just live with it!!but may enquire to see how much it will cost for someone to do,cheers ryan

Yeah take it to a phone shop in a market or something, they could do it for you no probs and if you get a new phone you could then sell it on for a bit more than if it were damaged etc

Im with O2 phone stopped charging up. They delivered a new one to me 2 days later. But when i damaged my own phone cost me £25 to get a new one again only took 2 days.

And my contract is currently £13 with them for 1000 off peak minutes plus 50 cross network and 100 texts. Am on a discounted rate since i have had a contract with them for nearly 5 years now so i get reductions. And every so often they let me have either a new phone or £50-£100 credited to my account.

Why i havnt left them in all these years keep getting offers which just make me stay with them.
