Mobile Speed Camera Van

Driving along the EMPTY A5 dual carriageway nr MK last night (Sunday evening) and theres a bloody mobile speed camera in a lay-by!!! No wonder they have such a bad name - it was OBVIOUSLY a cash-making exercise. I mean, Im sure the A5 is death-trap due to speeding motorists on Sunday evenings... f*#!ing w#$$***!! I dont know whether I managed to brake in time to avoid fine. Fortunately, I wasnt doing an automatic ban speed. EVEN MY MUM has 3 points, and she is the most careful driver I know - if she cant avoid speeding fines, then were all screwed...

  Dirty E91

I saw one on the bridge which sits over the duel carriage way heading up to the Chicheley roundabout catching all the traffic comeing down the hill towards Newport Pagnell!

Blatantly just a money making position that one! How dangerous can a 2/3 mile stretch of DC be? Obvioulsy lots of pedestrians crossing there or something!

They are popping up everywhere nowadays. The wife got "done" 3 points and £60 quid fine. Shes was doing 35 in a 30. Although I now buy the local press as it tells you where the cops will be set up and on what day.

Err where about was that one, I was on the A5 near MK for a short while last night and didnt see one!

Mark and I saw one going south on the A5 at about 5pm when we were heading back to Bedford. I was doing about 90 mph but it appeared to be facing the other way on the bridge.

Oh good, I didnt go through till about quarter past seven, I thought I saw a van on the bridge on the other carridgeway cant remember if I backed off or not, normally too late once youve seen them!

Heading northbound from A422 junction on dual-carriage way bit. Actually I saw a Clio (possibly a Cup - same colour blue as mine, anyway) heading towards Bedford on the A422. He flashed. Didnt catch number plate cos he was going too fast!!:D

Yeah similar thing happened to me last Wednesday morning, just after rush hour i was goin to Livingston, there was this t*t in Mercedes Sprinter van cutting in and out of the inside to midle lane, so i thought f*ck this, pulled out into the inside lane, passed him at over 80, the traffic was pretty busy goin both ways, but just as i was pulling back into the outside lane when id passed the van, id noticed the traffic cops were sitting on the oposite side of the motorway in two cars facing me but i couldnt see them until it was too late as there were artics on the oposite side just before id pulled out?

Could i have been done for speeding?

Dunno about speeding (if they were on the other side of the road they were probably focusing on motorists coming that way) but if one of them saw you undertaking like that and noted your reg plate, then its possible they could do you for dangerous driving (though chances are like i said they might not of even seen you do this as they would of been focusing on people coming the other way, and even if they did i doubt they would of been able to spot your plates)

Sorry maybe i never explained that clear enough mate, i never done any undertaking, the van was in and out of both the outside and middle lane, i was in the outside lane doing about 65/70, i meant i went into middle then into the inside lane to overtake him?

Oh right sorry gotcha, i thought that you meant the van was in the outside lane and u pulled into the inside.

I wouldnt worry at all then :)
