Mobile Upgrade

  BMW F31
im on o2 and my contract is up in a couple of months, could i upgrade now to a higher tariff etc and get a new phone?

Ask them, nobody here is going to know.

lol i forgot i wrote this and rang them anyway, what i was getting at was, has anybody on here had 2/3 months left on their contracts and managed to upgrade and get a new phone without having to wait until their contract was up or incur a charge etc! ;)

anyway im due an upgrade on june 23rd so roll on N95 ;)

General thing with o2 is they look at the previous 6 month spend.

e.g.

if i had a contract which was £20 per month, come upgrade i went to £35 i still wouldnt be entitled to the £35 per month phone range. As for the last 6 months i was spending £20 per month meaning i would have to pay more for a phone.

O2 are being very picky i think with the N95, being hardly anyone is offering it for less than a £50 contact unless on upgrade and even then some upgrade people are being disapointed. Im due on the 14th june so let the battle comence.

who would want an N95 anyway ?! pile of poo

"this comment was brought to you by the useful members of cliosport"

idiot, it annoys me when people say things like that without any reasoning, the reason i want it is a friend has it and playing with it last night i loved it, camera is amazing, gui is awesome and generally love nokias oh and the gps and wifi are big deciding factors too :rasp:

Who you calling an idiot sunshine?

your momma is so fat...

yeah im going to the N95 to, probs ive got is i just cant get on with sony erricsons, motorolas are just crap. some samsungs are nice but offer no where near the features the N series offer. I have a fair few problems with my N80 and i expect the N95 to be the same but there just isnt anything out that i really really want.

Ok,

  • The gps is based on an ancient chipset, barely works
  • The camera software produces so much noise the pictures come out crappy
  • the os is buggy and frequently crashes
  • no third party apps for GPS
  • the casing creaks.
I have about 200 more reasons why its rubbish.

ok, lol

i expect the gps to not be amazing but even though it takes a little longer to search for satellites etc, the very little use from myself will mean when it does get used hopefully it'll be ok lol

when i used my mates the other night in very low light the camera i persoanlly thought created a very good image, also reading lots of reviews and comparisons of the camera against a dslr the pictures were amazing.

haha i expect the nokia os to be buggy as my current e50 is ever so slightly.

there is third party gps apps, google maps and earth being one, and iirc route 66 too has been used on a review and found to have no problems with it.

i can live with the casing creaking lol.

tbh i kepp phones for such a little time e.g had 6 so far since august, it wont be a porblem for me to sell it on if its truly crap lol.

yes because the software that was made never knew that mobiles would have internal gps devices so the software only enables yo to select a bluetooth one.

nokia maps does but theres a subscription

I recently upgraded with o2, they was been there usuall arses , admitted they fecked up my deal last year n i`d loose my 20 quid if i upgraded , In end i had to put contract to cancel , then send em a letter, in end they foned me back n offered me what i want.

:)
