Modding a 172

  Mk4 .:R32
Getting a bit of cash for my birthday in summer (around 2k).

I'm tempted to do the following to my car as a bit of a project:

fk konigsports
bucket seats and subframes
matched inlets
decat
remap
remove rear seats
sub and amp build in wheel well
sort a few chips and dinks!

I know the majority of people think it is a waste, but wanna keep my car for a while now. Was thinking about getting something new but not sure I will get the same cheap thrills!!

what do people think? should be about 190 bhp and slightly lighter! so pretty good performance wise. or would you put the money towards something diff?

  Whichever has fuel
The rear seats weigh feck all, and the sub and amp will weigh it up again, so that bit seems pointless imo.

Personally, i'd just spend money on the engine/coilovers/brakes.

I would never say not to spend it on modding your car because ive done it with cars in the past but do you not think putting it in the bank and it would be a v good start point for the next car?

it would defo be a good starting point for a next car. but I want something like an evo or M3 next, which isn't financially realistic for another 3 years or so. So I'm thinking spend a couple of grand getting the 172 to how I want it, keep it for 2/3 years, save up some cash and get the car I really want. Otherwise i will end up getting something not much better/faster than my 172, but spending about an extra 7k on finance (e.g. R32, VXR etc)
