Modified 172 phase 1 or standard 172 phase 2

  Clio 172 Flamer
I am looking for people's opinions here,

I have been looking for a clio 172 and have come across a couple that I like,

1st option is a flamer phase 2 which is trade, it is up for 1500 and is completely standard, which I intend to change very soon
It has 80k miles on the clock and is really tidy (as per pictures, which is not always correct.) Good service history but not full and 12 months MOT.

2nd option is an Odyssey phase 1 with 90k on the clock, this also has 12 months MOT and is a private sale for 1500.

Spax coilovers, 438 cams which is a positive and a negative IMO and various other mods.
This also looks real clean as per pics but will need the roof either resprayed or wrapped when I get it.

I am torn between the two options.

Logically I should go with the untouched one right?

I'd go for the one with some money already spent on it, unless you're not going to mod of course!

Standard car every time. I've bought modified cars in the past and regretted it. You never know how well things have been done and also it takes all the fun out of modding stuff yourself and feeling your car progress.

Do you find F4R belt changes fun?

Nope, buy the Odysssey.

If it s***s itself on the way home, you'll make £500 back selling the Spax and wheels (as a minimum)
