Im fussy as s**t lol. I've never managed to find a dynamique 80 or 100 in good condition.

keep looking! mine was mint, i was £1500 short on what i needed for the GT so punted my old dci100 for £1500!! lol it was easily worth 3500 too!!!! my mate bought it off me, put 20k on it and traded it in and got his £1500 back lol

on the subject of DCi's my mates back discs had seized on the other day we tried to free them by driving it but it wouldnt budge, tow poll on the back of my DCi and it dragged the thing half way down the drive way with its back wheels locked before they freed off lol

Your engine looks well clean Tonka. How did you acomplish that?

Also whats your bhp and torque and what sort of difference does it make when you put your foot down in 2nd and 3rd with the remap compared to normall? Alot or a bit of difference?

remap transforms the 100!! i couldnt beleive it having been used to n/a cars and spending £1500 for 15bhp and then suddenly getting 25-30bhp and 40lbft for £250!!

The car was good standard, but not it is AMAZING. The torque is just  and it just doesn't stop pulling. Well worth £250.
I went for 50/50 so a extra 22bhp 45lb/ft + a average of 4mpg better.

But you can go for the full power remap, 25bhp + 52lb/ft.

To clean the engine bay, just grinded the engine mount and lots of blood sweat and tears. Also touched up all the engine with black spray paint.
Still need's a lot of cleaning, but I am going to drop the engine soon to replace cam belt + aux belt, so will make it look a lot better then.

Sounds good I get my first wage packet friday from my new job, getting cambelt replaced first then what shall I by first?

Remap?
182 Alloys?
Lowering springs?

remap!!!! best bang for buck mod!

wouldnt bother with just springs, it kills the dampers after a couple of months and anything decent to replace them with costs a bomb ie bilstein or koni

Yeh remap is tickling my pickle at the mo.

I will have to look into the lowering springs section as I dont know much about it. I dont really understand what coilovers are lol? And if I will have to get upgraded dampers etc?

U got any knowledge? I know ur the man lol

haha i wouldnt say im the man, ive just spent a s**t loads on different setups.

i think these are of a saxo but same idea(pic at bottom), on the left is the new coilover if you look you will see it has a threaded bit that the spring sits on, this gives you your height adjustment, so you can go from a little lower than standard to massively slammed (if thats your thing!)

on the right is the standard shock absorber, you would just be changing the spring on this and leaving the standard damper fitted, ive found in the 4 or 5 cars ive done that even on a slightly less hardcore (in the lows department!) spring like eibach sportlines, the dampers only last a month or 2 (this is on cars with say 40-60k already on the standard susension setup) the car feels sloppy and bouncy, infact to be honest, even with brand new dampers, they are just too soft for a hard spring and feel miss matched imo (where on the RS cars the standard dampers feel perfectly suited to eibachs)

a few years back a load of us were all running Apex -60mm kits (both springs and dampers) and im going to be honest and say i actually liked it, it sat nice and low and the dampers were matched to the springs and there was a good improvement in handling. (this kit used to be around £220 but i think its now near the £300 mark) At the time though our cheapest coilover option was FK @ £600 odd!

you now have Vmaxx at i beleive £400 ish? and raceland at under £200? (ive never really looked into or tried them, just saw it on here a few times)

personally if it was me again id look into a set of Vmaxx and see if they are ment to be any good, or if -60mm will suit you then check out the Apex kit.

sportline springs are good but imo you need to factor in a set of dampers, even if its at a later date, and a set of bilsteins or konis are probably about £400 all round anyway!

Cheers so if i get coilovers I dont have to get upgraded dampers?

But if I get eibach sportlines I would have to upgrade the dampers?

And the apex kit comes with the springs and dampers?

So coilovers are the best and you can adjust ride height your self?

Definitely a remap, thats a must. Make sure you choose someone with good feedback who is going to remap your car though. RenaultdCi.net has a remap testimonial: http://www.renaultdci.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=27&t=1235

As Martin said, don't go for the springs until you can get good dampers. I would recommend Koni Adjustable's if you head down the springs line.

My personal opinion is not to go for the 182 alloy's, the standard's alloy's or even 172 alloy's look decent. Save the money and colour coded the car, but each to their own.

somthing i must add! when i had my little dci65 (pictured above) it was sooo slow i didnt even try and drive the thing fast thats why i used to average well over 60mpg every day! and that was bloddy town driving!

when i got my 100 and eventually mapped it, it had twice the power so i used to drive it quickly as it was fun, meaning i was averaging 10-15mpg less! that car could still do the same mpg as the 65 just it was hard personally to drive like that when you knew it had more! my current dci106 is the same!

if your looking for uber mpg, go for a 65!!! lol

Haha best advice ever lol, saying that, I drive mine hard and still get 54mpg around town. And on long journey's when doing 70-80mph I still manage to get above 60mpg.
