Mods and mpg

OK fed up of waiting for car, so thinking what I can do to it when I actually get it.

One of the reasons I opted for a 172 was its good mpg. I know mods usually increase fuel consumption but I was wondering what difference peeps with exhaust, induction (enclosed/open), and ECU chips/remaps had found.

172s gulp fuel at full throttle.........

the mods dont really make too much of a diff if your not at WOT.

i have managed to get 52.9 mpg outa mine hehe at a steady 60

my valvers the same. if you potter about with steady acceleration it gos forever. put your foot down tho and i swear you can see the gauge droppin
